Version 0.17a released!


Version 0.17 alpha is out!

Warning: If you played early versions before, please delete your save folder before starting the game else crashes are expected. To delete your save folder go to C:/'username'/appdata/roaming and delete "Kingdom_Lost" folder.

 Hello everyone, we are finally ready to release  a new version. Although we'd like to add much more in this release, it's been a month already, so here it is. It's expected to be buggy in this state so I'm going to release this as an alpha version.

What's new?

  • 4 new characters
  • 1 new outfit
  • 5 new area
  • New Visual Effect: Armor break.
  • Option to skip tutorial
  • You can now fast forward most of cutscene sequences by pressing  ctrl(holding will keep skipping)
  • You now can save and load whenever you want. Save key: F5, load key: F9


Changelog:

  • Tutorial difficulty decreased: QTE 1 seconds -> 1.30 seconds.
  • Increased contrast(dark areas are darker).
  • Fixed: Not saving players strength stat.Fixed: Not saving players strength stat.
  • Fixed: Camera getting affected by room borders before fight start.
  • Fixed: Camera clamping on room borders wrong.
  • Every enemy has it's own difficulty value that adds up to the QTE timer(Only active enemy can affect QTE timer).

Known Issues:

  •  Some object appear behind other even though it shouldn't, this is because I changed all my depth sorting method, I'll fix this asap. 
  • Evenon disappears if you save and load the game after talking to him.
  • Character names appears in dialogues even though Leana doesn't know yet.
  • Quests are not shown correctly


  Our patreon names can be seen on credits menu(if you want me to remove your name, you can comment this post or message me directly)

  • Tier I: We will add your name in credits with silver characters!
  • Tier II: We will add your name in credits with golden characters!
  • Press up and down to slide names and press any key to return to main menu

 Since we want to add lot's of content for v0.2, we thought it'd best to release this as an earlier version. Here is the list of what's planned for v0.2:

  • 1 or 2 kinds of goblin as enemies
  • New side quest
  • 2 new areas

 Expect some changes in dialogues in future since I'm not really satisfied with some of them.

 In this version I added tons of new code to my game engine so I hope for smoother development in the future. Since I added so much code, I spent most of my time fixing bugs thus couldn't do as much as I expected. I changed the save system so it's not compatible with old save file, but it'll support backward save compatibility from now on. These last days I pushed myself a bit so if I missed anything, I'll add later.
