Devlog #43 - Dekamara
Hello everyone! For the past several days, I keep getting sick for some reason(maybe something in the air?), though it’s not that bad so I kept working on Dekamara as usual and took a break from Kalyzmyr for the week. I think I’ll give some time to Kalyzmyr, since it’s going to be a challenge to make it balanced and fun, after that and the tutorial is done, it will be finished.
As for Dekamara, I’ve worked on ‘Helpers’, little characters players are going to get from pregnant girls. We plan to add one Helper for each character except Gatekeeper, each with unique skills that players can benefit from. As in its WIP state, after a character is impregnated, players can get their helpers from a separate map(after the stage is finished) where all the pregnant characters appear, but I’m not sure about this approach. This can work well if we decide to expand the game(as a result of this poll), this would give players a reason to return to town between stages. For now, I plan to open two portals at the end of the stage, one leading to the room where players can summon their Helpers, and the other one is for skipping that room and moving on to the next stage. If you have any suggestions, please let me know!

I’ve been completing the animations for summons as PsychoMale mentioned above. I gave the 3 of them their abilities but I'm unsure about the last one right now. The summons need to be helpful but at the same time, not break the game or feel like you’re cheating.
For the witch summon we were planning on teleportation, but that failed since it’s simply too op, i hope to come up with something for her soon :>

Thanks, it seems it was an allergic reaction, I'm all better now! While I'm working on 0.4, I fixed two more bugs so there will be 0.3.06 next week probably.
